Institut Prima Bestari Scholarships

The Institut Prima Bestari’s Board of Directors is offering a number of prestigious scholarships for both Malaysian students to undertake the Foundation Studies and Diploma Courses at Institut Prima Bestari, Kota Kinabalu Campus. Applicants from all countries will be eligible for consideration. 

Scholarship winners are selected on the basis of academic results and a reference from the school. Where academic results do not allow for differentiation between applicants, resumes or curriculum vitae will be considered.

Scholarships apply for University Foundation Studies; Diploma and Advanced Diploma Courses.

All scholarship applications must be submitted not later than 30 working days prior to the commencement of every intake. Please check the academic calendar of Institut Prima Bestari. Notifications will be issued two weeks after the submission of application.

 

Full Scholarships

Three (3) Full Scholarships covering the course fee of will be awarded every new intake.

To be awarded a full scholarship requires a student to have achieved outstanding academic results. This would normally require the student to have achieved the highest possible grade in at least six (6) subjects. Scholarships winner must maintain at least distinction in four (4) subjects every semester in order to maintain the scholarships. 

Students will be required to complete an Admission to Undergraduate Application Form, and pay an RM 350 non-refundable Student Registration Fee. 

Academic staff will not offer these scholarships during promotional visits.

Additional documentation required:

1. Reference from the school principal.

2. Actual or mock/forecast/preliminary results for major examinations equivalent to SPM in Malaysia.

3. Two (2) most recent school reports.

4. Curriculum Vitae or resume.

5. 2 copies of Passport Size Colour photo

6. Photocopy of IC (Front cover only)

 

Partial Scholarships

Three (3) scholarships to the value of half the full tuition fees are offered every new intake.

This award would normally require the student to have achieved the highest possible grade in at least five (5) subjects. Scholarships winner must maintain at least distinction in four (4) subjects every semester in order to maintain the scholarships.

These scholarships may be offered to students at anytime, including during marketing visits. Such students must pay a non-refundable Student Registration fee of RM350 within two (2) weeks of the offer or forfeit the scholarship. 

Any scholarship funds not allocated during marketing visits will be awarded at the same time as the full scholarships.
